Leadership Public Schools' mission is to prepare students to succeed in college and to develop effective student leaders. We offer small schools so that students have mo re one-on-one time with teachers along with a four year leadership advisory program in which students take responsibility for their lives and improve their community. LPS operates small, innovative, high-performing public high schools serving educationally and economically disadvantaged urban students . LPS is an award winning, nonprofit with a deep commitment to students who will be first generation college graduates.

We are now hiring high school Teachers for the 2008-2009 school year for our growing schools in Richmond, San Jose, Oakland, Hayward and Campbell, CA .

We expect all teachers to have a strong background in their subject area, at least three years of experience working with diverse youth, and a California credential. Our talented staff commit to continuing their own learning and refining their practice to stay current in the field ensuring a quality education for all. We offer 15 professional development days each year.

LPS is seeking Highly Qualified Teachers with:
