Former LPS Trustee Joins Obama Administration
Former LPS Trustee Joanne Weiss has been appointed to head Secretary Arne Duncan's Race to the Top initiative - a key part of Obama's education reform agenda. Ms. Weiss served on the LPS Board during her tenure as the Partner and COO of NewSchools Venture Fund. Her vision and grounding in the world of educational change have been critical in helping LPS grow and we are thrilled to see her stepping into this important role on the national stage.
