LPS-Richmond Students Show Courage and Leadership

"One of the only ways that we are going to make change in the community is by people being brave and having the courage to step forward and look out for each other." -- Shawn Benjamin, Principal, LPS-Richmond

The LPS school community thanks the three LPS-Richmond alumni and one current LPS-Richmond student who made the only 911 call regarding the brutal rape of a 16-year old girl. They demonstrated the courage and leadership that is a core value of the LPS school community. We thank these students for not turning away from the horrible events and listening to people who tell them not to "snitch". They turned to their own core values, they knew the right thing to do and they made the call.
