Leadership Public Schools has a variety of support from NewSchools Venture Fund (NSVF) for its network of schools including early-stage funding support for college Access Readers, and matching funds for LPS Oakland. LPS is proud to be an active member of a community of educational entrepreneurs and innovators committed to transforming public education supported by this national nonprofit venture philanthropy firm.
Leadership Public Schools is thrilled to be one of five national recipients of a Next Generation Learning Challenge grant for its LPS Oakland R&D campus expected to open in Fall 2012. EDUCAUSE leads the Next Generation Learning Challenges program, funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation.
LPS and the CK-12 Foundation are creating a line of free, open-source, online curriculum resources tailored to address one of the most pressing issues in urban education today: how to teach rigorous content and literacy skills simultaneously.
