Our Hayward campus opened in 2005 and has expanded to serve grades 9 through 12 in 2008-09. We offer:

  • Tuition-free public charter high school
  • College preparatory curriculum
  • Small and safe learning environment
  • Innovative leadership curriculum, including a three day Leadership Retreat at Stanford
  • Highly qualified teaching staff and school leadership

LOCATION AND TRANSPORTATION

We are located in the former English Language Center across from Mt. Eden High School (map and directions), at 28000 Calaroga Avenue. This is an attractive and safe site with large classrooms, a multi-purpose room, and lots of outdoor space.

ENROLLMENT

Enrollment for the 2008-09 school year is open to all students entering 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th grade. We do not charge tuition.

All information sessions will take place at LPS Hayward, 28000 Calaroga Avenue. Please check in in Room C-6, the Main Office.

PRINCIPAL BRIAN GREENBERG

Mr. Greenberg is the Principal of LPS-Hayward. Brian served as the principal of our first school, LPS-Richmond, for the 2004-05 school year, and has worked in the education and non-profit sectors for the last ten years. An English teacher at heart, Mr. Greenberg taught all grades of high school English during several years working for the Los Angeles Unified School District. In addition to teaching, Mr. Greenberg worked in politics on several statewide campaigns, in higher education at Carnegie Mellon University, and in the non-profit sector as the Vice President of Development for a community development organization in Trenton, New Jersey. Mr. Greenberg earned his Bachelor of Arts in English from Dartmouth College and his Master in Education from Harvard University. He spent his last year at Harvard working as the Principal Intern at two high schools in Boston, Massachusetts while earning his administrative credential. Mr. Greenberg is eager to lead LPS-Hayward to high student performance and educational excellence.
