Students should be reminded of the new tardy and attendance policy. Students who were tardy please go to the cafeteria when you are dismissed, 5 minutes before lunch.
- Clubs: Students who want to start a club should see Mr. Wandera to fill out a club proposal sheet and find a teacher that will sponsor the club.
- Sports
- If you are planning on playing sports, you must have a sports physical done. This must be done every year! Please come to the front office for more information. - Boys Soccer: Boys soccer players are to be dismissed this Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. and head straight to the bus for their first game of the season against Dublin Valley Christian. All players are responsible for talking with their teacher and getting any missed notes and work.
- Cross Country Practice: First practice is this Thursday after school! Don't forget your signed permission slip and a good pair of running shoes. Meet outside Ms. Pieri's room and be ready to run!
- Lady Royals Soccer: Attention Lady Royals Soccer players and hopefuls! Last year we won the championship for our league and this year I want to win our division. That means I want YOU to join Ms. Pieri's cross country team so that you are in shape and ready to run when soccer season starts. This year, I will give priority to those girls who showed their true comittment to the team by getting their bodies in the same good shape as their minds. Talk to Mr. McCaffery if you have any questions.
- If you are an undocumented student, or are unsure if you are undocumented and are concerned about your path to college, please come and see Ms. Borbon, Ms. Messina, Ms. Canizales or Ms. Goulart!
All Students!
- The Annual Historically Black College Recruitment Fair will be held September 15 at Laney College. Colleges will be offering on the spot admissions, scholarships and fee waivers! All grade levels are invited. Seniors and Juniors, you will need to bring transcripts and other materials, so please review the checklist if you are planning to go. See Ms. Goulart or your advisor for more details and a copy of the checklist to plan ahead!
- Any students interested in playing Magic the Gathering, please see Mr. Maestas on Thursday during Lunch.

- The next SAT is on October 9th. YOU MUST REGISTER FOR THIS EXAM BY SEPTEMBER 10th. If you need to retake the SAT and need a fee waiver, please come and see Ms. Goulart at lunch. ACT fee waivers are also available.
- If you are considering NCAA or received information about it, please make sure to register with the Clearinghouse ASAP. See Ms. Goulart for more information.
- Alameda County is hosting a Youth Leadership Academy for juniors and seniors to learn about and help organize their community and discuss local issues. These 5 FREE sessions take place on Saturday mornings beginning October 2nd. The application is due September 22, so if you would ilke to apply, please see Ms. Goulart to pick up the application.
- Bring SAT scores to Senior meetings with Ms. G.
- If you were in Ms. Abeles' English class last year, she has your personal statements. These are so useful for applying for scholarships and colleges. Stop by to pick yours up!
- Check out the "Big Dig Scholarship: available outside of Ms. Goulart's office.
