Admission to LPS San Jose is competitive. We are a popular school that offers its students a once-in-a-lifetime learning experience. We offer small class sizes, excellent instruction and a laserbeam focus on going to college. Our campus of 400 students feels like a big family. Admission to LPS San Jose is possible for all eligible students on a first come, first serve basis. If you would like like to secure your child's space at LPS-San jose, please submit your application materials in a timely manner.

Eligibility
Leadership Public Schools are tuition-free, public high schools and are open to all students. Leadership Public Schools does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, age, gender, sexual orientation, citizenship, disability, national or ethnic origin in administration of its admissions policies or education programs.

Lottery
Due to the number of students who are interested in attending our school each year exceeding the school’s capacity, acceptance will be determined by a lottery. The parent or legal guardian will be notified by mail regarding the status of the student’s application. There are two requirements to participate in the enrollment lottery:

• Complete an Enrollment Application from the school
        A copy of the student’s most recent IEP must be submitted along with the application, if applicable.
        An explanation of suspensions and/or expulsions, must be submitted along with the application, if applicable.
• Each student and at least one parent/guardian must attend an Information Session (Dates and times are available on the enrollment calendar.)

• Return the application by mail, fax or in person before campus deadline (Applications received after the deadline will be placed on a waiting list in the order received)

Once accepted, return the completed registration materials before the deadline. If no confirmation is made, the student’s application will be cancelled and their spot will be given up to someone on the waitlist.
