Our Accountable Goals
By the fifth year of any Leadership school’s operation:
- Over 90% of its graduates will go on to college.
- Its students will achieve at least 8 out of 10 on the California Academic Performance Index similar schools ranking.
- Dropout rates will be at least 50% lower than in the district where our school operates.
- A majority of the student body will be from economically and educationally disadvantaged backgrounds.
- The schools will have students of color at least in proportion to the surrounding community.
STAR Results
LPS-Richmond is successfully serving Richmond students as demonstrated by our founding 9 th grade students' performance on STAR testing.
The Standardized Testing and Reporting (STAR) program is what the California Department of Education (CDE) uses to help measure how well
students are learning basic academic skills. In the spring of 2004, our founding class took the English and math components of the STAR and
performed comparably well to neighborhood schools.
